Florida Funders Coordinates $4.1M Investment for Trash Butler TBBJ • Florida Funders, a hybrid venture capital and crowdfunding group that helps investors effectively invest in tech-enabled startups in Florida, secured a $4.1M deal from 100 investors for Tampa-based startup Trash Butler. This is Florida Funders largest single investment to date. Trash Butler, led by the co-founders of College Hunks Hauling Junk, is a doorstep valet trash service for apartment communities.
Peerfit Attracts $18M Investment from San Francisco Fund Tampa Bay Times • Tampa fitness startup Peerfit has received an $18M investment from Virgo Investment Group of San Francisco. As part of the deal, Virgo's Managing Director, Pooja Goel, will join Peerfit's board of directors as its first woman director. The investment will allow Peerfit to continue building their Medicare product, known as Peerfit Move, and prepare for international expansion.
