Proposed Bill Would Forbid Big Tech Platforms from Dark Patterns
TechCrunch • A new piece of bipartisan legislation aims to protect people from dark patterns, a dodgy design strategy that often pushes users towards giving up privacy data unwittingly and allowing a company deeper access to their personal data. This bill will would create a standards body on user design best practices for online platforms and determine what design choices infringe on user rights.
